James Christopher finalist in Slamdance screenplay competition
Twitchy Dolphin's own JAMES CHRISTOPHER has been named a finalist in the Slamdance Writing Competition with his script LETTERS FROM WOLFIE, based on the novel by Patti Sherlock.
"Obviously I'm very excited, and humbled," Christopher said. "It's been a process of writing the script for three years now. This book has touched me and that Ms. Sherlock has allowed me to adapt it has blown me away. This is a movie that, if made, would touch a lot of people."
As a finalist, LETTERS FROM WOLFIE becomes one of the top 40 scripts in the competition's "Features" category, and one of the top 200 scripts in the entire competition from a field of over 2,000 entries in five categories. The top five in each category and the grand prize winner will be announced on or before September 20th on the Slamdance Web site.

FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH wins Best Short, WEREBITCHES wins Best Actress at San Antonio Horrific Film Fest
We are delighted to announce that Twitchy Dolphin Flix won Best Short at the San Antonio Horrific Film Fest with FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH, and that Christen Holder won Best Actress for her role in WEREBITCHES!
We want to sincerely thank all our friends and fans who attended. You helped create a great vibe at the fest that made the experience all the more rich and wonderful for all. The screenings were lively, audience response was strong, and we are humbled by the reception and recognition our films received.
Those of you that missed it, well, you missed a heck of a great time in beautiful downtown San Antonio. But here's a taste of the festivities, and if you "Like" our Facebook fan page you can you see a lot more photos of the screenings, the after-party, and all the fun. You can even see video of every award being announced.

New WEREBITCHES/FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH screenings added
The San Antonio Horrific Film Fest has added several new screenings of Twitchy Dolphin's two short-film entries, WEREBITCHES and FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH. Both will play on Wed, Aug 25 and on Sat, Aug 28 in addition to their previously scheduled screenings on Fri, Aug 27.
We invite everyone to make it out to the the San Antonio Horrific Film Fest at the La Quinta Convention Center (303 Blum, San Antonio, TX) for any of these screenings, however we will host an after-party in our suite at the same location after our last screening on Friday, August 27 (Suite 812). While there is a cost to get into the fest, our reception is free. So come and hang out with the casts and crews of these two horror-comedies.

James Christopher: From the director's chair
Greetings Twitchy Fans,
Hope you are all enjoying the tail-end of summer and have spent it cooling off in a movie theater. I've been doing my best to see a movie a week and today I saw Scott Pilgrim. Of course, you can check out our DVD's if you want to watch a movie at home!
The summer, as usual, has been busy.
We're very proud to announce the completion of SNATCH 'N' GRAB, our third completed feature film. The movie is hilariously acted by some very talented people and we're very excited about what this movie represents for our company. It will join LOOK AT ME AGAIN in becoming a regular entry into some of the world's most well-known film festivals.
We are also hard at work on a new feature TURKEY DAY. We've begun rehearsals, including the prep-work for what will be a very intense flag-football scene in the movie. Go to IndieGoGo to see some HILARIOUS behind the scenes footage of our first practice. We will keep ya'll up to date on how it goes. And if you can see you're way clear, we'd really appreciate some help financing the movie. We just need 75 $25 dollar donors to hit our goal. And, of course, watch our weekly video updates to follow our battle for the lead in the movie and let us know if you're voting for COLBY or NATALIE.
And, our music video for TEXAS RENEGADE "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" has climbed to #25 on the Y'allWire Top 100 music chart and #4 on the Y'allturnative list. Give the video a look and help us hit #1.
Finally, in two weeks, Twitchy will be at the San Antonio Horrific Film Fest (Aug 27) with two horror shorts, FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH and WEREBITCHES on August 27. SNATCH 'N' GRAB official poster released
 The official poster for Twitchy Dolphin's newest feature film, SNATCH 'N' GRAB has been released just ahead of the film's completion and planned submission to several major film festivals. Along with feature LOOK AT ME AGAIN and short LILITH'S DAUGHTERS, SNATCH 'N' GRAB will be the third Twitchy Dolphin Flix project under consideration at major national festivals.
SNATCH 'N' GRAB is a hilarious tale from the front lines of the battle of the sexes. Tired of being treated poorly by men, Selina enlists three of her friends and devises a game of conquest and fun to regain control of their destinies. Pushed beyond their comfort zones by the competition, each woman is challenged to learn about herself and her relationships while also banding together to battle a jealous psycho and a sexist boss.
The film stars Stephanie Dunbar, Fiona Rene, Christen Mays, and Terissa Kelton.
Mark McCarver, Phillip Emmanuel, Derick Morris, and John Hafner play supporting roles in the film.

Short film LILITH'S DAUGHTERS submitted to Sundance Film Festival
 The final touches have been completed on a new short film entitled LILITH'S DAUGHTERS and it has been submitted to the Sundance Film Festival. Alongside LOOK AT ME AGAIN this marks the second Twitchy Dolphin Flix project currently under consideration at Sundance 2011.
Seen through the eyes of Detective Lilith Gardner, the film is a gritty look at a prostitute's life on the streets - up to the day she's had enough. Starring Stephanie Dunbar, Ashley Serrao, and Conrad Gonzales, it is planned for inclusion in this year's annual SCARLET WATERS collection and soiree coming in October.

Pre-production officially begins for next feature film, TURKEY DAY
Twitchy Dolphin Flix is proud to announce the pre-production of our new feature film, TURKEY DAY, and your chance to participate in its making with the launch of a new IndieGoGo fundraising effort.
Going into production in November, TURKEY DAY tells the hilarious story of a typical Thanksgiving weekend gone awry when a father anxiously awaits the return of his children. Dad struggles to help his kids deal with annoying ex-husbands, unwanted fiances, babies on the way, and his son's secret love affair with the girl next door.
We have assembled a terrific cast and crew for this film, but we need your help. Please make a donation to the film. You can get all kinds of cool gifts for helping us out, including posters, DVD's, scripts and credit.
And you can help Twitchy Dolphin make a decision. We can't decide who should be the LEAD in the film. So, we thought we would turn to our friends and fans for help. When you make a donation, please let us know if you want NATALIE or COLBY to be the lead in the movie. And check back to the page periodically as they continue to make their appeals to you, the fans. You help and support will go to cover the cost of producing the movie and begin its festival run.

From the front lines of the battle of the sexes, four women devise a plan to take control of their destinies in the hilarious SNATCH 'N' GRAB.

LOOK AT ME AGAIN submitted to more festivals
After submitting LOOK AT ME AGAIN to the Austin Film Festival, Twitchy Dolphin is proud to announce it has now also been submitted to the AFI Fest (American Film Institute) to be held in November 2010 in Los Angeles. In addition, it has been submitted to both Sundance and Slamdance which will be held in January 2011 in Park City, Utah.

To support the festival run for our latest feature film LOOK AT ME AGAIN, Twitchy Dolphin has launched a brand new Web site dedicated exclusively to the movie. Full of fun videos, pictures, and stories, the site serves as a place to track the film's festival progress and get the latest news and special features. LOOK AT ME AGAIN completed, submitted to first festival
Twitchy Dolphin's newest feature film, LOOK AT ME AGAIN is now complete and an official submission of the Austin Film Festival.
Filmed during the summer of 2009 in Austin and Port Aransas, Texas, the completion of LOOK AT ME AGAIN is the culmination of over a year's work by numerous highly-talented actors, crew, and post-production technicians.
Appropriately, the Austin Film Festival is receiving LOOK AT ME AGAIN's first festival submission and will be the film's first opportunity to be publicly screened. This year the festival runs October 21 - 28 and always showcases an outstanding program of narrative, animation, and documentary features and shorts.
